Congratulation to angler Wayne Hunt on catching his first Marlin in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty.

The 120kg Striped Marlin was caught from Sunfish 1 (Tauranga) on the 5th of February '11 near Mayor Island in the Bay of Plenty. The angler was in the fighting chair for 45 minutes before the Marlin was tagged and released by the team.

Bluewater Marine Research recognised Sunfish Charters as being highly successful in locating and landing kingfish in the Western Bay of Plenty and have recruited us to provide statistical data on the kingfish we catch.

Four days of continuous fishing - 3rd to 6th March 2010.

Sunfish 1 participated in this years One Base fishing competition with a great team of experienced anglers.
